Russian-language media P Gregory Davidzon, who has provided sometimes-crucial help to both Democrats and Republicans running for office in Brooklyn, endorsed Democrat Lew Fidler for Allege Senate at a party last night, according to sources who attended the event.
The announcement was made at the Sheepshead Bay restaurant Baku, where Davidzon and a play the host of elected officials celebrated the seventh anniversary of his radio show.
Davidzon cited unhappiness with the New York State Republican Reception's "leadership" and the current redistricting process, according to a person who was there.
Davidzon hugged Fidler and said, "No Russian should choose for a Republican in this election," according to a source there.
Davidzon was not immediately available for comment.
Fidler is running in the Walk 20 special election for the State Senate seat vacated by Democrat Carl Kruger, who pleaded penitent to corruption. Republicans are backing David Storobin , a lawyer who immigrated from Russia.
